I am a baby when it comes to using this OS. Looking for suggestions for "Linux for Dummies" so to speak as to what I am using it for and what to avoid.

I guess this area would be ok since you're dealing with that distro. I ran Mint for a long time as my go to, out of the box, it just works Linux for a long time.
What do you think so far?

You should still look at the updates available and stay up to date on any security based ones

Just wanted to say that after all the years as a MS user, this is the best. Kudos to all the developers from the ground up. It is a Celebritory time of year, and I celebrate you ALL!!!
