Your going to have to give us a few hints about what distro your using, at what point during turn on does this happen etc. No one here is psychic. :-P
  • I had ubuntu and right after the mobo logo.

Is this a new install, or an already existing one? Are you running off of a Live CD, or from the hard disk. If the problem is happening right after the mobo logo, there is something seriously wrong with your install (or your hardware). It doesn't seem like any part of linux is loading up, or it's crashing while trying to load.
Is this the only OS your running on your netbook? Did it come with XP installed and does that load?
Can you download a Live CD like knoppix and see if that loads?
At this point I think it's a hardware error, unless you can get something else to boot up.

Download the image for your distribution again, checksum it and then use unetbootin to copy it to a usb drive.
Back up any important file and then re-install Linux.

If you are seeing the "0808 0808" message when you boot the usb drive even before you install, then you either have a corrupted image download or your bios isn't supported by grub and you need grub2.
Ubuntu is moving to use grub2 by default in it's next release to hopefully eliminate problems like unsupported bios'.
