Are we free to use Systems Manual Pages at the exam

Hi guys,

Before I take the exam I'd like to ask about the manual pages.

I know I can check man pages but there are also manual pages on the system like httpd-manual in /usr/share/httpd/manual directory. Those are HTML files so if I use those files like elinks /usr/share/httpd/manual/index.html. Would it be a problem? Are we free to look those HTML files?

There are many html files under /usr/share/doc. I guess we are meant to look at them.

Thank you.

My understanding is that as long as you have a browser installed and know how to look at a local html file you are fine. So you can use elinks, lynx, w3m, etc. I don't have specific knowledge which of these might be installed but you can also install them with yum or apt-get commands I assume. I also don't know if all of these doc files are there but I would suspect so. If someone from the certification group can say more, please do so :) (You could also install the .doc package if you know the name as well)

All this package are provided from default repos. If they ask me to install http server I can install the manual together so I guess it should be fine. But if someone from the certification group answer would be better.

@coni The certification group does not monitor this forum, since it is meant to support the elearning courses. Please send an email to certificationsupport@linuxfoundation.org and they should be able to assist you (All certification-related inquiries should be sent via email).

I have emailed them and it is totally fine to use those html files as long as they are installed on the system.
