In one of the directories in the server in root, i see the permission as "drwxr-xr-x.", what does the dot at the end mean.
Hi Guna, the directory you are talking about has Selinux permissions enabled that is why there is a dot at the end of the permission string.
Selinux (Security Enhanced Linux) is an advanced type of permission developed by the NSA and RedHat.
