Question on message on bootup

I'm just getting started with this course on a CentOS core distribution installed on a virtual machine hosted on Hyper-V.  After getting through chapter 2 I noticed a message on bootup I'm wondering about.

[0.000000] tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed

It pauses there for a second and then continues to boot to the logon prompt normally.  I haven't had any issues with the system or the course so far (just starting Chapter 4 now), but I wanted to check if this is something I should try to resolve before continuing?

Thanks,

Elizabeth

    Hi Elizabeth,

While it boots and doesn't give a kernel panic, or any OOM message (out of memory), you should be fine. If you google for the message you will find that this is not a critical one. So you can feel safe and keep going forward.

    Regards,

    Luis.
