Chapter 9, Lab 9.1

I am currently doing it on my machine, I am not sure if its okay to execute the commands given in this Lab as it says unpartitioned space, and then we are creating a partition. Is it okay to execute those commands on my personal machine? and create that file?

    Hi,

You can do it in your personal machine as long as you work with an unpartitioned disk space. Not try to do it with your existing partitions, because the data on that partition will be deleted.

If you don't have unpartitioned disk space or it's complicated for you to get it, you can use a file as a loop device. That won't delete any data on your existing disk.

    Regards,

    Luis.
