HP 4630 all-in-one Printer Malfunction with iMac

Operating an iMac using OS 10.8 with an HP 4630 deskjet all-in-one printer.

The printer suddenly stopped printing color, only B&W. The color

cartridge is fine.

I believe the problem occurred after I downloaded an Apple software

update, possibly involving security.

I tried re-installing the HP driver for the printer but that did not

help.

I had the identical problem with an older HP deskjet 5550 printer

at the same time. I found some open source driver software for that

printer which corrected the problem.

Is there similar driver software for the 4630 printer?
