in Installation
Hi Friends,
Do we install redhat or any other Os without an swap partition ?
If Yes, What is the role of swap during the installation or why it's so needed that its an mandatory during the installation?
If No, Explain an installation process ?

I once had a printer driver that was malfunctioning, and, it was sending messages to a log file. It sent so many messages, so fast, that it filled up my root directory. If it wasn't for swap, I wouldn't have been able to recover, so, it's up to you whether you want to take that chance, or not. Swap can sometimes be helpful, especially when you have minimal memory on your machine.
